Entry Level Electrical Engineer
About The Position
The Entry-Level Electrical Engineer participates in all phases of projects, from programming and construction document development through construction administration. The role is intended to develop engineering skills and design abilities while contributing to creative solutions for clients and employees. The engineer builds and maintains relationships with in-house teams and contractors and provides technical design and consulting solutions that address facility managers’ and/or owners’ requirements. The position is located in Richmond, Virginia, with less than 10% travel.
Requirements
- Excellent work ethic and attitude.
- Proficiency in Revit and Microsoft Office.
- Knowledge of the layout and design of electrical systems.
- Familiarity with codes, standards, and design guidelines.

- Experience assisting in the design process.
Responsibilities
- Design electrical systems, including electrical service entrances, lighting, power, and fire alarms.
- Develop calculations for lighting systems and associated controls.
- Perform electrical system design calculations.
- Prepare detailed design documents in Revit.
- Coordinate work with other disciplines.
- Research code compliance requirements.
- Visit project sites.
- Review shop drawings and provide construction site visit reports.
