Under limited guidance, assemble and test electronics systems for military applications. This role involves testing electronic boards, assemblies, and systems (including RF, power, and digital), performing precise RF measurements, identifying root causes of RF performance problems, and working directly with engineers on new product start-ups. The technician will be responsible for electronic assembly, testing, rework, and circuit board rework, including surface mount and through-hole components. They will also perform characterization, debugging, and repair of electronic systems and subsystems, and collaborate with design and test engineers to identify necessary equipment and test setups. Maintaining the laboratory environment and equipment, organizing and documenting test data, and participating in internal program reviews are also key aspects of the role. Obtaining and retaining a government security clearance may be necessary.
