Electrical Test Engineer
About The Position
Radiation Test Solutions (RTS), an Applied Technical Services (ATS) company, is seeking an Electrical Engineer to join its team as an individual contributor. The role tests the radiation tolerance and system survivability of electronic components and systems in natural and man-made radiation environments, including terrestrial, airborne, and space applications. RTS performs radiation effects testing on electronics for aerospace companies and device manufacturers at its Colorado Springs laboratory. The engineer designs and implements electrical test setups, evaluates test results, and documents radiation-induced effects. Expertise in every area of radiation effects testing is not required.
Requirements
- Understanding of electronic components, including their functions and operation.
- Ability to design circuits.
- Ability to test to a data sheet.
- Analog design experience required.
- At least 2 years of related experience.
- U.S. citizenship or another qualifying U.S. Person status is required because the position involves access to ITAR-controlled information.
- A bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering is preferred; an Engineering or Physics degree with relevant experience will be considered.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with Automated Test Equipment (ATE) is ideal but not required.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement electrical test setups for various radiation effects testing.
- Evaluate and analyze electrical test results for validity and statistical significance.
- Document radiation-induced effects on electronic parts and other materials in test plans and reports.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
