Harbinger: Familiar Form, Revolutionary Foundation. We are seeking a hands-on Electrical Test Engineer with 3+ years of experience testing power electronics devices. In this key role, you will collaborate closely with mechanical, electrical, and software design teams to lead prototype bring-up, Design Verification (DV) and Production Verification (PV) testing, and long-term reliability programs at the component, subsystem, and vehicle levels.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering
  • 3+ years of industry experience in electrical design/testing
  • Experience with performing reliability calculations and developing test profiles
  • Experience with hands-on testing of power electronics devices, PCBAs, or battery systems
  • Experience with tools like CANalyzer, CANape, CANoe, NI LabVIEW, etc.
  • Experience with coding languages for data analysis, such as Python or Matlab
  • Great communication skills - written & verbal

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with EV powertrain architecture and associated HV devices, such as DCDC converters, on-board chargers, junction boxes, inverters, battery, etc.
  • Experience with data analytics

Responsibilities

  • Lead hands-on bench bring-up, commissioning, and validation testing for power electronics, PCBAs, and high-voltage (HV) subsystems.
  • Develop, execute, and maintain Design Verification Plans & Reports (DVP&R) to ensure products meet performance, durability, and target life requirements.
  • Work cross-functionally to design and build custom in-house test fixtures, automation setups, and test equipment required for complex validation.
  • Lead root-cause analysis (RCA) for bench/field test failures, participate in DFMEA sessions, and perform reliability calculations to refine test profiles.
  • Document structured test findings, report outcomes to cross-functional stakeholders, and interface with suppliers to drive product quality improvements.
  • Train test technicians on standard operating procedures for complex test rigs and ensure all testing adheres strictly to high-voltage safety protocols.
  • Support offsite testing facilities as needed (<30% travel).
