About The Position

The Electrical Service Manager will supervise, mentor, and lead a team of service technicians, ensuring high-quality service delivery, strong client relationships, and adherence to safety standards. This role involves managing inventory, coordinating service calls, overseeing on-call rotations, and collaborating with the sales team. The manager will also be responsible for training and development of the team and identifying opportunities for continuous improvement in service operations.

Requirements

  • In-depth knowledge of commercial electrical systems, equipment, and maintenance practices.
  • Strong leadership and team-building skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire team members.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to interact with clients, technicians, and other stakeholders effectively.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
  • Proficiency in using Electrical software, scheduling tools, and computer applications.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations, codes, and compliance requirements.
  • Business acumen and a results-oriented mindset to achieve departmental goals and financial targets.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise, mentor, and lead a team of service technicians, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations.
  • Ensure all service work is performed to the highest quality standards, adhering to industry best practices and manufacturer specifications.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with commercial clients, addressing concerns and ensuring satisfaction.
  • Promote a culture of safety and ensure adherence to all safety regulations and protocols.
  • Monitor compliance with relevant laws, codes, and industry standards.
  • Manage the inventory of parts and supplies needed for service, ensuring adequate stock levels and cost-effectiveness.
  • Plan, schedule, and dispatch service calls to technicians, ensuring efficient resource allocation and timely response.
  • Manage and implement on-call rotation, ensuring technicians are prepared.
  • Work with the Sales team to gather on-site information, provide feedback, and coordinate on replacement projects.
  • Maintain consistent growth by selling new maintenance contracts and service accounts.
  • Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and regulations.
  • Provide training opportunities for technicians to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement initiatives to streamline service operations and enhance customer satisfaction.
