About The Position

Bartle & Gibson is seeking an Electrical Sales Manager for the Calgary Region. This role requires strong leadership and mentoring skills to motivate a sales team, coordinate activities, and develop long-term relationships with colleagues and customers. The Electrical Sales Manager will report directly to the Territory Manager and will be responsible for leading a sales team, creating new business opportunities, meeting sales targets, and addressing customer needs. The primary focus will be on growing the business within the designated sales territory, managing accounts, and handling project businesses in the electrical sales industry. A valid Driver's License is required.

Requirements

  • Minimum grade 12 education required
  • Minimum of 3-5 years’ relevant sales management experience
  • Skilled in serving and negotiating with institutional and industrial purchasers, electrical contractors and the public
  • Skilled at assessing client needs, developing proposals, and delivering solutions
  • Experience using Microsoft Office
  • Exceptional customer service with the ability to cultivate and develop customer loyalty
  • Ability to develop strong, long term relationships and generate referrals from your customers
  • Excellent interpersonal & communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to lead and effectively supervise professional and non-professional staff
  • Strong networking skills, outgoing personality
  • Strong negotiating skills
  • Impeccable organizational skills with attention to detail
  • Time management & multitasking skills to serve several customers at the same time
  • Proven ability to learn quickly and work effectively in a fast-paced work environment
  • Valid Driver’s License

Nice To Haves

  • Post-Secondary courses in Electrical preferred
  • Experience using an HCM and ERP preferred
  • Knowledge of the electrical industry or a background in electrical products would be considered an asset
  • Knowledge of wholesale sales principles, methods, practices and techniques an asset
  • Leadership and mentoring skills
  • Ability to coordinate the activities of both yourself and others
  • Experience with developing sales strategy and product development plans

Responsibilities

  • Lead the coordination and evaluate the operations of the sales team
  • Implement and execute the Company’s marketing strategy and business plans
  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve and exceed sales targets within the electrical products market
  • Set sales expectations for each of Bartle & Gibson’s sales representatives including customer expectations and quota achievement
  • Attain budgeted revenue targets per Business Plan
  • Measure the activities of sales representatives
  • Prepare and present sales reports to upper management, including forecasts, performance analysis, and growth plans
  • Model and champion Bartle & Gibson’s Mission, Vision, and Values
  • Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction and client retention levels
  • Resolve customer concerns and complaints in a courteous, professional manner
  • Strive for continuous growth and improvement while ensuring compliance with company sales policy
  • Ensure compliance with Bartle & Gibson’s standards for cost control, waste reduction, quality, safety, and on-time delivery
  • Determine staffing requirements and oversee the hiring of staff
  • Lead, train, and mentor a team of sales representatives, ensuring they have the tools and resources necessary to succeed
  • Conduct regular sales team performance evaluations
  • Ensure that all personnel comply with Company policies, procedures and ethical standards
  • Work in concert with other department and business leaders to assure congruence with sales operations
  • Supporting organizational change management
  • Other duties as required
