The job overview for this role is that the Electrical Project Controls Specialist will lead project controls processes and support the Projects Engineering team in achieving project goals and team KPIs. Requirements
- Detailed knowledge and experience in managing complex projects from conception to closeout
- Ability to develop, implement, and manage data for key performance indicators
- Proficiency in creating integrated project scheduling reports, cost reporting, and forecasting
- Familiarity with critical path reviews for projects
- Knowledge of project permitting logistical and construction administration compliance
- Ability to ensure internal team project support resourcing through two-week look-ahead reviews
- Experience in retrofit replacement of aging infrastructure, site improvement projects, green energy infrastructure, and new construction activities
- Strong emphasis on quality, incident reduction, and maintainability in project work
- Ability to present schedule and budget status reports to project engineering team and department leaders
- Proficiency in creating and maintaining an integrated project schedule tracking document
- Knowledge of schedule management techniques, estimating, project cost management, forecasting, and document control
- Leadership and training skills to resolve difficult project control issues
- Familiarity with Earned Value Management system reporting and invoice processing
- Ability to interface with Capital Cost Accounting Team, Finance & Tax Accounting Teams, and contractors
- Strong analytical skills for KPI reporting and identifying reasons for negative trending or failures to meet expectations
- Proficiency in developing updated project spend forecasts
- Strong attention to detail in processing design and construction paperwork
- Ability to manage the review and approval flow of project documents and perform reviews and audits
