About The Position

RQ Construction is currently hiring an experienced Electrical Preconstruction Manager to support the team. The position will be based out of the Jacksonville, Florida office in a hybrid capacity. This role oversees the development and coordination of electrical scopes from the early design phase through project handoff to operations, ensuring systems are clearly defined, well-coordinated, buildable, and aligned with overall project objectives. The position plays a key role in directing electrical preconstruction efforts, including reviewing scopes, coordinating design elements, developing schedules and budgets, engaging subcontractors, planning procurement strategies, identifying risks, and preparing projects for execution. You will work closely with Estimating, Design, Operations, and Project Executive teams to ensure all electrical components are complete, coordinated, and ready for construction, while supporting RQ's Mission, Vision, and Values. This role may also assist the Electrical Department Leader with additional responsibilities as needed. Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline required (equivalent experience may be considered)
Minimum of 5 years of experience in the electrical field
At least 2 years in an Electrical Project Manager or Electrical Preconstruction role
Experience with McCormick, Bluebeam Revu, P6, Autodesk Cloud, or similar construction software required
Familiarity with Microsoft 365 tools (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams) preferred

Nice To Haves

Additional training in project management, construction management, electrical trade programs, BIM, or CADD is a plus
Strong background in developing conceptual estimates and managing electrical and low-voltage/data system design is highly preferred
Experience with design-build projects in government, military (DoD), or large commercial environments is a plus

Responsibilities
