About The Position

This position is responsible for assisting in repairs, maintenance of machinery, equipment, physical structures, and plumbing and electrical systems throughout the entire plant. This job description outlines the principal duties and in no way states or implies these are the only duties to be performed in this position. MUST BE LEGALLY AUTHORIZED TO WORK IN THE UNITES STATES.

Requirements

  • Vocational/Technical certificate or A.A Degree; or two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Oregon state LME license or better.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Have ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Have ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Regularly required to use hands and fingers to handle or feel, and able to talk and hear.
  • Frequently required to stand and walk.
  • Must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and ability to adjust focus.

Responsibilities

  • Perform all duties of Electric Mechanic “B”
  • Performs size changes on all production lines.
  • Executes the preventive maintenance program schedule to avert production and equipment failures and downtime.
  • Performs troubleshooting on hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
  • Troubleshoots AC/DC electrical circuits.
  • Troubleshoots single phase and 3-phase power.
  • Read and interpret hard wire schematics.
  • Read and interpret hydraulic and pneumatic schematics.
  • Troubleshoot and program PLC's.
  • Assist in the training of the Electrical Mechanic in Training and B level Electric Mechanic.
  • Perform and follow all safety rules and regulations.
  • Cleans work area, tools, and equipment.
  • Perform all work safely and with the utmost concern for the safety of self and other employees.
  • Maintain their designated work spaces in a clean, safe and timely manner in compliance with the plants THM/Safety policy.
