The Mechanic A position involves repairing and maintaining machinery and mechanical equipment such as engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines. Requirements

  • 3 years minimum mechanical repair related experience in a heavy industrial setting or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Technical school preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Observes mechanical devices in operation to locate causes of trouble
  • Diagnoses equipment failures and provide recommendations for proper repair course of action
  • Dismantles devices to remove and replace defective parts, Installs special functional and structural parts in devices.
  • Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments
  • Initiates purchase order for parts and machines
  • Ensure that all equipment complies with OEMs and Regulatory Agencies operating standards
  • Ensures proper equipment lubrication in compliance with OEMs lubrication schedule
  • Administers Preventive Maintenance program from computer system
  • Follows Preventive Maintenance Work Order procedures
