Requirements

3 years minimum mechanical repair related experience in a heavy industrial setting or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Nice To Haves

Technical school preferred.

Responsibilities

Observes mechanical devices in operation to locate causes of trouble
Diagnoses equipment failures and provide recommendations for proper repair course of action
Dismantles devices to remove and replace defective parts, Installs special functional and structural parts in devices.
Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments
Initiates purchase order for parts and machines
Ensure that all equipment complies with OEMs and Regulatory Agencies operating standards
Ensures proper equipment lubrication in compliance with OEMs lubrication schedule
Administers Preventive Maintenance program from computer system
Follows Preventive Maintenance Work Order procedures
