M.C. Dean is seeking an Electrical Maintenance Technician 4 to join their team in Washington, D.C. This role is responsible for ensuring the peak efficiency of all electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety equipment within mission-critical facilities. The technician will perform planned preventative maintenance, daily corrective work, and emergency response, serving as an expert technical resource reporting to a program manager. A key aspect of this role is maintaining over 99.999% uptime for facility equipment supporting mission-critical servers. The technician will also provide oversight of junior technicians and contractors, analyze systems requirements, recommend modifications, and install new units or replacement parts according to specifications and safety guidelines. They will utilize safe working practices, troubleshoot and repair electronic units, and perform maintenance on critical data center systems and industrial electrical equipment. Daily walk-throughs of the facility, monitoring and adjusting Building Automation Systems (BAS), and managing mechanical and electrical systems during emergencies are also key responsibilities. The role involves identifying required materials, preparing cost estimates, maintaining vendor relationships, and coordinating with critical environment vendors. The technician will also set up and operate electrical data capturing devices, create and review MOPs and SOPs, generate field service reports, develop reliability reports, and conduct training for junior technicians and other staff.
