Partner Engineering and Science, Inc. is seeking an Electrical Infrastructure Engineer / Technical Specialist with 5–7 years of experience in electrical power distribution, utility infrastructure, and commercial or industrial facilities. This primarily technical assessment and due diligence role involves independently evaluating electrical infrastructure, utility power availability, and facility capacity, and preparing client-ready reports for data center and mission-critical site evaluations. It is not primarily a traditional electrical engineering design position. Data center experience is preferred but not required for candidates with a strong background in electrical power systems and facility assessments. The role assesses medium- and low-voltage systems, equipment condition and ratings, existing loads, capacity, limitations, and utility service arrangements. It includes facility site visits and visual inspections, technical due diligence and site suitability evaluations, utility and stakeholder coordination, and recommendations about infrastructure improvements or further engineering investigation. The engineer evaluates mission-critical systems such as UPS equipment, standby generators, automatic transfer switches, and redundant distribution, and applies working knowledge of applicable NEC/NFPA 70 requirements and relevant IEEE standards. The position requires approximately 30–40% travel to commercial, industrial, and prospective data center facilities; travel may periodically exceed 40%, and overnight travel may be required. Candidates must be comfortable in active commercial and industrial environments and follow applicable site safety requirements. The stated salary range is $70,000–$100,000, with potential eligibility for a discretionary incentive bonus. The company describes its benefits package as including health, dental, and vision insurance, vacation and sick time, and a 401(k) plan with company match.
