About The Position

Southern Industrial Constructors, Inc. is seeking Electrical Helpers for a project in Atlanta, Georgia. The role supports electrical installation work in manufacturing and industrial settings. Hired candidates will be considered for benefits and paid time off after three months. Significant travel may be required. Regular attendance is required.

Requirements

Skilled written and verbal communication.
Complete all safety and general job training required by SIC.
Observe SIC and customer safety and quality processes and procedures at all times.
Effectively use all required personal protective equipment.
Able to lift up to 50 pounds.
Able to safely access elevated positions and confined spaces, and work in locations including ladders and personnel lifts.
Able to stand for long periods, bend consistently, and work in awkward body positions.

Responsibilities

Review blueprints, sketches, and building plans to identify materials and work requirements.
Prepare layouts using tools such as voltage testers, wire strippers, levels, and pipe benders.
Terminate panels using a LOTO plan.
Plan installation sequences to avoid obstructions and conflicts with other construction work.
Run cable tray, pull wire, and bend different types of conduit.
Work with motor controls and metering.
Size branch-circuit overcurrent protection devices and calculate loads for single-phase and three-phase branch circuits.
Follow directions, plans, and blueprints and apply measurable standards to assess work.
Perform work overhead, beneath structures, and from other positions required by site conditions.
Lift and carry objects of varying weights, and recognize and respond to dangerous conditions.
Complete required safety and general job training and follow SIC and customer safety and quality procedures.
Safely operate tools and equipment involved in the work.
Perform other duties as required.
