About The Position

Southern Industrial Constructors, Inc. is seeking Electrical Helpers for a project in Atlanta, Georgia. The role supports electrical installation and construction work in manufacturing and industrial markets. Candidates will be considered for benefits and paid time off after three months. Significant travel may be required, and regular attendance is required.

Requirements

Skilled in written and verbal communication.
Complete all safety and general job training required by SIC.
Observe SIC and customer safety and quality processes and procedures at all times.
Effectively use all required personal protective equipment (PPE).
Lift up to 50 pounds.
Safely access property, buildings, structures, wharves, rooftops, elevated positions, and confined spaces.
Safely operate all equipment and tools involved in the work.
Stand for long periods, bend consistently, work in confined spaces with limited access, work on ladders and personnel lifts, and work in awkward body positions.

Responsibilities

Read and follow blueprints, sketches, building plans, directions, and plans related to the work and materials.
Work within precise limits or standards of accuracy and use measurable criteria to make decisions.
Prepare layouts using tools such as voltage testers, wire strippers, levels, and pipe benders.
Terminate panels using lockout/tagout (LOTO).
Plan the sequence of installations to avoid obstructions and conflicts with other construction workers’ activities.
Run cable tray, pull wire, and bend various types of conduit.
Understand motor controls and metering.
Size branch-circuit overcurrent protection devices.
Calculate loads for single-phase and three-phase branch circuits.
Rate information using standards that can be measured or checked, and compare the size, shape, and form of lines, figures, and objects.
Visualize objects in three dimensions from plans and drawings.
Work overhead, beneath structures, and from other positions as required by working conditions.
Lift and carry objects of varying weights and recognize and respond to dangerous conditions or situations.
Attend work regularly and perform other duties as required.
Complete required safety and general job training and follow SIC and customer safety and quality procedures.
