About The Position

IES Commercial, Inc. – DBA IES Electrical is hiring a full-time, entry-level Electrical Helper in Richmond, Virginia. The position assists commercial electricians with tasks and material handling, installs conduit, wires, and strapping as directed, and assists with wire pulls and other supervisor-directed duties. The role involves working from ladders and following company and customer safety policies and procedures. Travel may be required.

Candidates must be authorized to work full-time in the United States without current or future employer sponsorship. Employment is contingent on passing a post-offer background check and, when the role requires operating motor vehicles, an MVR check.

Requirements

• Six months or less of recent electrical field experience.
• High school diploma or GED.
• OSHA 10 certification or ability to obtain it.
• Pass a post-offer background check.
• Pass an MVR check when responsibilities require operating motor vehicles.
• Be authorized to work full-time in the United States without current or future need for employer sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Assist commercial electricians with various tasks and material handling.
• Mount and install assigned conduit, wires, and strapping as directed.
• Assist with wire pulls and other duties as directed by a supervisor.
• Work from all types of ladders.
• Comply with company and customer safety policies and procedures.
