Press Helper - Entry Level
About The Position
The Press Helper is an entry-level hourly production role supporting printing operations. Production Associates are expected to learn and develop the abilities needed to progress to the top job in their department. The role is based at 5582 NE Huffman Street, Hillsboro, Oregon 97124, and starts at $24.39 per hour, including any applicable shift differential. The position requires flexibility to work day, swing, and graveyard shifts, as well as overtime, weekends, and holidays when required. Work takes place in an industrial environment and involves standing, reaching, twisting, exposure to seasonal temperatures, and lifting up to 50 pounds. Required PPE includes hearing protection, safety glasses, gloves, and steel-toed safety shoes.
Requirements
- Basic computer skills.
- Flexibility to work day, swing, and graveyard shifts.
- Ability and willingness to work weekends, holidays, and mandatory overtime as required.
- Ability to wear required PPE, including hearing protection, safety glasses, gloves, and steel-toed safety shoes.
- Ability to stand, reach, twist, work in seasonal temperatures, and lift up to 50 pounds.
Responsibilities
- Manage the ink being used to run an order.
- Put rolls on the unwinder and remove them from the rewinder after printing.
- Perform assigned tasks during change-over to the next order.
- Perform general housekeeping duties.
- Learn and follow safety procedures, including Lock-Out-Tag-Out, emergency response, PPE, and chemical handling.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
