Successful candidates should be flexible and willing to work in a variety of locations and environments in support of Bechtel's projects and business operations. This may include opportunities at construction sites, project execution offices, or functional and corporate service organizations. In this role, you will participate in the design, development, and evaluation of electrical components and processes. You will collaborate and support other engineering disciplines for electrical engineering matters. Your professional work knowledge and abilities through the application of standard electrical engineering techniques and criteria will enable you to make impactful contributions to the team.

Requirements

Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited college or university within the past twelve (12) months or upcoming twelve (12) months.
Eligible for the University Hire Program (typically hired within 12 months of graduation).
Ability and willingness to relocate and/or travel to domestic and/or international project jobsites.
Possess the eligibility to work and remain in the US without visa sponsorship, now or in the future.
Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screen and background check.

Nice To Haves

Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited college or university within the past twelve (12) months or upcoming twelve (12) months.
Prior co-op or internship experience.
Completed relevant coursework with a strong GPA.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

Prepare single-line, metering and relaying, schematics, and protection logic drawings
Perform electrical system, equipment sizing, and auxiliary system calculations
Size, select, and specify transformers, switchgear, motor control centers, and distribution panels
Size, select, and specify power, control, and instrumentation cables
Size, select, and specify direct-current/uninterruptible power supplies and emergency generator systems
Perform raceway, grounding, lighting, and cathodic protection drawings
