Assignments may be located in a project field environment, regional office, or corporate office setting depending on business needs. Successful candidates should be flexible and willing to work in a variety of locations and environments in support of Bechtel's projects and business operations. This may include opportunities at construction sites, project execution offices, or functional and corporate service organizations. In this role, you will participate in the design, development, and evaluation of control systems components and processes. You will collaborate and support other engineering disciplines for control systems matters. Your professional work knowledge and abilities through the application of standard control systems engineering techniques will enable you to make impactful contributions to the team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical, Chemical, or Mechanical Engineering from an accredited college or university within the past twelve (12) months or upcoming twelve (12) months.
  • Eligible for the University Hire Program (typically hired within 12 months of graduation).
  • Ability and willingness to relocate and/or travel to domestic and/or international project jobsites.
  • Possess the eligibility to work and remain in the US without visa sponsorship, now or in the future.
  • Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screen and background check.

Nice To Haves

  • Master of Science degree in Electrical, Chemical, or Mechanical Engineering from an accredited college or university within the past twelve (12) months or upcoming twelve (12) months.
  • Prior co-op or internship experience.
  • Completed relevant coursework with a strong GPA.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Develop automation networks and provide technical specifications for state-of-the art distributed digital control systems and programmable logic controllers
  • Formulate and implement diverse process control strategies and program algorithms
  • Provide expertise in the selection, application, and installation of process instrumentation and control valves
  • Originate and program logic diagrams to control mechanical systems and develop system graphics to facilitate plant operations
