About The Position

Hanson is seeking an Electrical Engineering Intern to join their team. The Electrical Engineering discipline at Hanson is involved in planning, designing, analyzing, and implementing electrical systems for various facilities. Interns will gain experience in power distribution design, lighting systems, grounding and lightning protection, electrical equipment selection, control systems integration, and the preparation of construction documents. The program also includes activities to help interns build a strong network within Hanson and with fellow interns. Internships may involve travel to suppliers, customers, project sites, or other Hanson locations.

Requirements

Must be actively enrolled in an electrical engineering degree program.
Successfully completed their sophomore year and be actively enrolled in a 4-year college or university, with coursework directly related to the position.
Completed more than 60 hours of coursework applicable to their degree.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Productive written and oral communication skills
Knowledge of Microsoft Office
Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
Valid driver's license

Responsibilities

Assist with engineering analyses, design development, preparation of construction documents, and field investigations for a variety of projects.
