About The Position

The Electrical Engineering Intern will learn to use Revit and assist with designing electrical systems for commercial spaces, including lighting layouts, power systems, and fire alarm systems. The intern may contribute to projects in District Energy, Healthcare, Higher Education, Industrial, Federal Government, Mission Critical, Science & Technology, and Advanced Manufacturing. The role also provides opportunities to learn about these project types, visit construction jobsites, and gain exposure to the construction industry.

Requirements

• Pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering.
• Knowledge of Revit and AutoCAD, or willingness to learn them.
• Interest in the layout and design of electrical distribution.
• Basic knowledge of lighting design and lighting controls, or willingness to learn.
• Plans to take the EIT.
• Ability to perform basic electrical engineering calculations.
• Excellent organizational skills and very high attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Leadership ability and an entrepreneurial spirit.
• Self-starter who is willing to learn and grow on a project.

Responsibilities

• Use Revit for system design.

• Visit construction jobsites.
