About The Position

The Electrical Engineering Intern will be introduced to Revit and assist with designing electrical systems, lighting layouts, power systems, and fire alarm systems for commercial spaces. The intern may work on projects in District Energy, Healthcare, Higher Education, Industrial, Federal Government, Mission Critical, Science & Technology, and Advanced Manufacturing. The role also offers opportunities to learn about these projects and the construction industry through construction jobsite visits.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering.
• Knowledge of Revit and AutoCAD, or willingness to learn them.
• Interest in the layout and design of electrical distribution.
• Basic knowledge of lighting design and lighting controls, or willingness to learn.
• Plans to take the EIT.
• Ability to perform basic electrical engineering calculations.
• Excellent organizational skills and very high attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Leadership ability and entrepreneurial spirit.
• Self-starter willing to learn and grow on a project.

Responsibilities

• Use Revit for system design.
• Assist with electrical system design, lighting layouts, power systems, and fire alarm system design for commercial spaces.
• Visit construction jobsites.
