About The Position

Salas O’Brien is seeking an Electrical Engineering Intern for Summer 2027 in Houston, Texas. The internship offers practical experience and the opportunity to contribute to significant projects in a supportive environment. The intern will learn from experienced engineers and specialists while building skills in electrical design engineering and gaining exposure to a variety of projects and markets. The role provides exposure to the full lifecycle of a construction project, from design through construction, and opportunities to improve proficiency with industry-standard software. Limited travel is required, and duties may be performed onsite or at project locations as needed.

Requirements

• Actively pursuing a bachelor's degree in Electrical, Architectural, or a related Engineering field.
• Genuine passion for the AEC industry, with a focus on electrical system design and a desire to learn and contribute to meaningful projects.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.
• Adaptability to changing priorities and tasks.

Nice To Haves

• Familiarity or proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD or Revit.
• Understanding of engineering analysis tools.
