About The Position
Garver's Water Design Center (WDC) in Harlingen, TX is seeking a passionate Electrical Intern to join their team of water and wastewater treatment facility planning and design experts. This internship offers hands-on experience in electrical power and controls systems design for water projects within a dynamic and professional consulting engineering environment. Interns will be mentored by experienced professionals, receive training, and gain exposure to project sites. The Garver Launch Program provides an immersive summer experience with networking, wellness activities, community volunteerism, and professional development opportunities.
Requirements
- Pursuing an electrical engineering degree in an ABET accredited program.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Interest in designing water and wastewater infrastructure.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with AutoCAD or Revit.
- Previous consulting industry exposure or experience.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the design of electrical power and controls systems for water projects.
- Gain real-world experience in the consulting engineering industry.
- Visit Garver’s Water project sites.
