About The Position

General Dynamics Mission Systems (GDMS) has an immediate opening for an Engineering Intern to join a team working on projects that support the nation’s defense services. The role offers an opportunity to apply classroom-learned skills to high-stakes national security missions and to collaborate with teams on technical projects related to GDMS’s core mission. The intern will work alongside a technically accomplished group of colleagues in a flexible work environment where contributions are recognized and rewarded. Candidates must be enrolled in an accredited degree program in a related scientific or technical discipline. A sophomore standing or higher is preferred. U.S. citizenship is required due to the nature of the work. A Department of Defense Secret security clearance is preferred at the time of hire; selected applicants will undergo a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.

Requirements

Demonstrate a thorough understanding of engineering technology.
Be enrolled in an accredited degree program in Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or another related scientific or technical discipline.
U.S. citizenship is required.
Selected applicants must undergo a U.S. Government security investigation and meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
