About The Position

The Electrical Engineering Intern supports department initiatives by assisting with day-to-day activities, project work, and analysis related to departmental objectives. The intern works alongside Delek professionals to assist with engineering small instrument and/or electrical projects and gain insight into how the department contributes to overall business operations.

In the field, the employee may occasionally be exposed to moving mechanical parts, working at heights, and outside weather conditions. Physical activities include climbing, standing, crawling, confined-space entry, and maneuvering through operating process units. Appropriate personal protective equipment must be worn as required while working in the refinery.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Self-starter with the ability to prioritize, multitask, and meet deadlines.
• Ability to record and present data in a clear and concise manner.
• Solid written and verbal communication skills.
• Solid software application skills, including MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Good organizational and strong interpersonal skills.
• Willingness and desire for continual learning and self-development.
• Ability to work independently and as a member of a cross-functional team.
• No licensure or certification required.
• An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered in lieu of the stated education requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assist with day-to-day departmental activities, project work, and analysis.
• Assist with engineering small instrument and/or electrical projects alongside Delek professionals.
• Record and present data clearly and concisely.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and orderly working environment by complying with safety procedures, rules, and regulations.
• Work independently and as part of a cross-functional team to continuously improve department performance.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
