About The Position

The Electrical Engineering Intern will learn Aerostar’s product development process and apply design efforts to an individual project. The intern will document design and testing throughout the project phases and provide engineering assistance to internal teams or external customers working on existing projects. The position involves technical work that does not require previous experience and is performed independently as well as collaboratively. The intern will complete an end-of-summer internship presentation and is expected to demonstrate Aerostar’s guiding principles. The intern may also perform comparable duties of a similar or related nature or assist in other areas as needed.

Requirements

• Have completed at least two years toward a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering.
• Be proficient with MS Word and MS Excel.
• Be able to handle multiple projects and tasks simultaneously without close supervision.
• Be able to work with a high level of confidentiality.
• Be flexible and able to multitask.
• Communicate effectively with team members and leadership staff.

Nice To Haves

• Hands-on experience in manufacturing, testing, and/or laboratory settings.
• Familiarity with one or more of SolidWorks, Matlab, or Python.
