About The Position

Clasen Quality Chocolate is hiring an Electrical Engineering Intern at its state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Milton, Wisconsin. The role focuses on conceptualizing, planning, designing, and executing capital projects related to industrial automation, process controls, and electrical distribution. The intern will work closely with the site Electrical Engineer and Electrical Engineering Manager. The intern will assist with researching, designing, installing, and commercializing equipment and processes at the Milton facility. They will also help develop and implement control and automation methods to improve operations, reduce operating costs, increase efficiency, and make better use of labor and materials. The position is Monday through Friday on first shift. Regular attendance is expected, and overtime may be needed. The work may involve exposure to allergens, including peanuts, tree nuts, dairy, and soy.

Requirements

High school diploma.
At least two years completed toward a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering.
Focus on industrial controls and/or process automation.
Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
Ability to work near allergens, including peanuts, tree nuts, dairy, and soy.

Responsibilities

Assist in researching, designing, installing, and commercializing equipment and processes at the Milton manufacturing facility.
Plan, develop, program, and implement control and automation methods to improve operations, minimize operating costs, maximize efficiency, and improve utilization of labor and materials.
Perform assigned tasks while following company, safety, and quality policies and procedures.
Maintain regular attendance.
Work overtime as needed.
Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
