About The Position

This is an opportunity for engineering students to gain real-world experience at an electrical motor manufacturer. The intern will support the design, development, and testing of brushed and brushless DC motors, stepper motor-based linear actuators, drives, and custom automation sub-systems. The role involves applying engineering principles, solving technical problems, and collaborating with experienced engineers, technicians, and other departments. The work environment is split between office and laboratory work, with most work performed in the office. The office is typically quiet; noise in the lab can occasionally require hearing protection. The position regularly involves sitting, using hands and fingers, handling and feeling, and reaching with hands and arms. Occasional lifting or moving of objects weighing up to 40 pounds is required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
