About The Position

Shure offers a challenging, fun, and rewarding summer internship program. The twelve-week program is offered to undergraduate and graduate students. We offer internships with a variety of work arrangements from onsite interns to fully remote in US. Each intern will receive a competitive salary. Additionally, Interns who are asked to relocate to Illinois for onsite internships will receive a housing stipend to cover living expenses. Applications will be collected, reviewed, and selected candidates will be contacted in late fall/early winter. As the Electrical Engineering Intern ( RF Circuitry ) , you will work under the close direction of senior staff on the design, implementation, and testing of electronic circuits for wireless microphones and wireless conference systems . This Internship is Onsite in Niles, IL.

Requirements

  • Two years of coursework in Electrical Engineering or a related area.
  • Basic knowledge of RF amplifiers, mixers, synthesizers, filters, antennas, pre-built modules , and other RF components.
  • Basic knowledge of audio related circuits, audio systems, and audio measurement techniques.
  • Basic knowledge of test equipment such as signal generators, spectrum analyzers, and network analyzers .
  • Soldering and circuitry building or repair skills
  • Ability to work independently with a high degree of accuracy and an attention to detail.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work well in a team
  • Applicants for this position must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis. Shure will not sponsor applicants for this position for work visas.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with schematic CAD software, PCB layout, and SPICE simulation software is a plus .
  • Experience with ADS, HFSS, and Python is a plus.
