About The Position
Kimley-Horn is looking for Electrical Engineering students to join our MEP team in Orange, California (CA) in 2027! This is not a remote position. Responsibilities include utilizing technical software programs to analyze, produce, and QC deliverables for clients, solving complex problems, assisting project managers, and collaborating across disciplines. Interns will develop familiarity with regulations and company standards, help develop design documents and technical reports, and assist with the design and analysis of electrical systems for various project types.
Requirements
- In the process of receiving an ABET accredited Electrical Engineering Degree (Bachelors or Masters)
Responsibilities
- Utilize technical software programs on a regular basis to analyze, produce, and QC deliverables for our clients.
- Solve complex problems, assist project managers, and collaborate across disciplines to produce our clients’ visions for the future built environment.
- Develop familiarity with the federal, state, and local regulations, as well as Kimley-Horn’s and our client’s practices, procedures, and standards.
- Help develop design documents and technical reports, including electrical layouts, equipment schematics, one-line diagrams, and system calculations.
- Assist with the design and analysis of electrical systems for commercial, industrial, and institutional projects.
