Position Overview: As an Electrical Engineering Co-op, you will support the team by designing, analyzing, and developing innovative engineering solutions by applying electrical engineering principles. This co‑op term will run from Spring 2027 through Summer 2027, providing extended, hands‑on experience working alongside engineers in a highly technical environment. Location: The position will be located in Lynchburg, VA at the Advanced Technologies Office.
Requirements
- Must be a currently enrolled student pursuing a degree in engineering.
- Must have strong organizational and communication skills with the ability to multi-task.
- Must be available for the full assignment period: Spring 2027-Summer 2027
- Must be a U.S. Citizen.
Responsibilities
- Instrument selection for process variables like temperature, pressure, flow, and positioning systems based on project requirements.
- Design instrument interface, routing, and mounting solutions in addition to control panel sizing.
- Develop algorithms, architectures, and requirements for control systems.
- Develop and design electrical circuits and schematics.
- Develop and deliver unique engineering solutions used in a nuclear environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
