About The Position

Join Sikorsky’s Flight Controls Autonomy & Electrical (FCA&E) organization as a System Integration Lab Engineer and shape the future of advanced aerospace systems. You will be at the forefront of designing, developing, and verifying state-of-the-art hardware-in-the-loop (HWIL) and closed-loop test facilities. This hands-on role offers a blend of technical challenge, cross-functional teamwork, and continuous process improvement in a dynamic, innovation-driven environment.

Requirements

  • Extensive experience in HWIL and closed-loop test facility design, development, integration, and verification.
  • Mastery in test bed design and hardware integration for test labs.
  • Proven track record in logistics planning, parts management, and infrastructure support for lab setup.
  • Advanced proficiency with real-time simulation tools (MATLAB/Simulink, LabVIEW, NI VeriStand).
  • Strong knowledge of aerospace standards (Arinc-429, MIL-STD-1553, DO 160, MIL STD 810, ARP 4754).
  • Expertise in developing schematics and block diagrams using Microsoft Visio, Mentor Graphics, Zuken, Siemens NX/3DX.

  • Strong technical documentation and reporting skills.

Responsibilities

  • Drive the design, integration, and testing of HWIL and closed-loop configurations to meet stringent aerospace standards.
  • Integrate hardware from subsystem teams, manage interface control documents, and ensure seamless cross-system connectivity.
  • Actively participate in technical meetings, providing clear status updates and supporting deliverables for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Monitor and track lab-level risks and issues, escalating concerns and proposing effective mitigation strategies.
  • Capture and report key performance indicators (KPIs), generating concise metrics dashboards to reflect progress and outcomes.
  • Support procurement, facility modifications, and infrastructure planning for laboratory operations, including power, network, and cooling systems.
  • Manage logistics for lab activities, including parts ordering, receiving, inventory control, and vendor coordination.
  • Champion continuous improvement by streamlining lab processes, updating work instructions, and embracing new tools and methodologies.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive engineering documentation, ensuring compliance with Sikorsky configuration control requirements.
  • Develop detailed schematics and system block diagrams using industry-standard design tools.
