About The Position

RTX's Collins Aerospace is seeking an Electrical & Electronics Engineer Intern to join their Avionics Test Engineering team in Burnsville, Minnesota, for the period of May through August 2027. This internship offers exposure to a wide variety of test solutions throughout their life cycle in the aerospace industry. The role requires a fast learner who can respond efficiently to requests. Daily tasks include designing and developing test hardware such as cables, power distribution boxes, circuit card assemblies, and switch matrices, as well as troubleshooting test solutions and updating documentation. This is an onsite position.

Requirements

Must be pursuing a Bachelor’s or Advanced degree in an applicable Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) discipline and actively enrolled through completion of the internship/co-op session.
Basic understanding of Electronics and Electrical Design.
Experience may be obtained through on-the-job experience, research, coursework, or projects.
U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

Responsibilities

Assist in researching, developing, designing, and testing electrical components, equipment, and systems.
Resolve day-to-day technical problems by troubleshooting electrical devices on the production line.
Gain knowledge about designing electrical equipment, components, products, and systems for commercial, industrial, and domestic purposes.
Analyze and evaluate new or improved electronic components.
Troubleshoot and resolve electrical device problems and day-to-day technical problems on the production lines to minimize disruption to production.
