The Advanced Effector Guidance Systems (AEGS) Department develops guidance section electronics architectures for development programs, supports subsystem analyses, integration and test, provides program leadership as well as GPS/IMU support. We partner with several Electrical Engineering Departments that provide the detail designs of our electrical products. We are seeking interns willing to collaborate, innovate, and team with our engineers to generate and utilize today’s cutting-edge technology to develop electrical subsystems.

Requirements

  • Must be pursuing Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Electrical Engineering or related Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) major and actively enrolled through the completion of the internship/co-op session.
  • Must have a minimum of 60 hours of credit by the start of the internship / co-op session.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with test equipment, test automation scripting, test conduction, sensor control.
  • Experience with oscilloscope, DMM, logic analyzer, spectrum analyzer, network analyzer, power meter.
  • Basic lab or other experience with one or more of the following: RF, analog, digital, mixed signal, circuit design or analysis
  • Experience with writing and/or executing test procedures.
  • Integration and test of electrical hardware/subsystems.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshooting electronics in a lab or production environment
  • Performing system and circuit level analysis
  • Subsystem integration and test
  • Supporting failure investigations
  • Maintaining and creating documentation
  • Interacting with multi-discipline groups including suppliers
  • Troubleshooting hardware and process issues down to CCA and component levels
  • Failure analysis / root cause determination and corrective action implementation
  • Performing analog and digital circuit analysis and characterizing and modeling electrical signals of electronics subsystems in simulation
  • Identifying and instantiating circuit card and subassembly design updates
  • Conducting integration & test at the subassembly level
  • Develop interconnect models between various subsystems
  • Generate test procedures/plans and document test results
  • Generate and present task results to small technical teams
  • Ability to work in either a team or individually
  • Potential travel to test areas for support/troubleshooting issues, less than 10%
  • Able to lift 15 lbs
