Responsibilities
- Design and fabricate analog and digital electronic circuits for plasma diagnostics
- Design and develop next-generation in-house data acquisition (DAC) capability
- Design and develop electronic instruments
- Prepare schedules and cost estimates
- Perform qualification and testing plans on new or modified designs
- Demonstrate experience designing and developing scientific instruments
- Demonstrate experience with low noise pulse processing
- Demonstrate experience with fiber optic components
- Demonstrate experience working with high voltage power supplies and electric and magnetic fields
- Demonstrate technical writing and verbal communication skills
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or Electronics
- Demonstrated experience designing and developing scientific instruments
- Demonstrated experience with low noise pulse processing: Transimpedance amplifiers, Charge integrating preamplifiers, Shaping amplifiers
- Experience with fiber optic components, ideally HFBR
- Demonstrated experience working with 115 VAC/single phase, 220 VAC/single phase, and 220 VAC/3-Phase and with high voltage (1- 10 KVDC) power supplies and electric and magnetic fields
- Demonstrated technical writing and verbal communication skills
