WHAT YOU’LL DO As an experienced Electrical Designer, you will support the design and documentation of electrical systems for building projects.
Requirements
- Associate or technical degree (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years electrical design experience
- Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, Bluebeam
- Strong attention to detail and communication skills
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Revit, AutoCAD and current electrical engineering software (e.g., Visual Lighting, AGI 32, SKM PowerTools, Lightstanza).
- Ability to apply national, state and local codes including NFPA (including NFPA 70 (NEC)), ASHRAE and IECC.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- U.S. citizenship or valid Green Card.
Nice To Haves
- Working knowledge of MicroStation, Smartsheet, Unanet CRM by Cosential, and Deltek Ajera software is a plus.
- Ability to maintain skill levels within the changing technology environment.
Responsibilities
- Design power, lighting, fire alarm, and low‑voltage systems
- Prepare drawings using mostly Revit and AutoCAD.
- Maintain drawings and documentation per company standards
- Coordinate with project teams and other disciplines
- Incorporate addenda, RFIs, and approved changes
- Communicate project status regularly
- Attend project meetings and site visits
- Support BIM setup and troubleshooting
