About The Position

Coffman Engineers is seeking a highly skilled, self-motivated Electrical Engineer with five to seven years of experience. Applicants must be well versed in all aspects of electrical systems design and have experience developing construction documents from project conception to completion. The successful individual should be comfortable consulting to architects, owners and general contractors and have a desire to work on diverse projects with a multidiscipline engineering team. Coffman Engineers is looking for a collaborative, self-motivated, enthusiastic individual with attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from an accredited college or university
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant electrical engineering design and construction experience in the AEC industry
  • Registration as an Engineer in Training (EIT) in Electrical Engineering
  • Experience with AutoCAD, Revit, Bluebeam, and general electronic drawing format software
  • Solid knowledge of computer programs such as Microsoft Office 365 suite, Microsoft Teams, Bluebeam, etc.
  • Experience with power system analysis software (E-TAP, EasyPower, SKM)
  • Ability to obtain a security clearance from the U.S. Government
  • Ability to travel for site visits
  • Ability to work independently
  • Demonstrated ability to work on multiple tasks
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Not eligible for sponsorship

Nice To Haves

  • Registration as a Professional Engineer (PE) in Electrical Engineering
  • Experience in healthcare, higher education, hospitality/housing, commercial and industrial projects
  • Experience with lighting software (AGI, Visual Lighting)
  • Experience with medium and/or high voltage systems
  • Ability to train others
  • Desire to learn and work with a team of professionals
  • Experience with low voltage systems design
  • Experience with federal project design

Responsibilities

  • Develop construction documents from project conception to completion
