About The Position

Coffman Engineers is seeking a Senior Electrical Designer with a minimum of seven years of experience to join their Electrical Engineering team in the Orange County office. This role involves working within a progressive, multi-discipline firm and contributing to a team of professionals dedicated to excellence. The ideal candidate will have solid experience in designing electrical systems for a variety of projects, including commercial, retail, institutional, healthcare, education, federal, and industrial sectors.

Requirements

B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering
7+ years of experience
Experience with AutoCAD and Revit
Experience with building power distribution design
Excellent verbal, written, organizational, and time management skills

Nice To Haves

California Electrical Engineering License preferred
Experience with DSA and HCAi projects preferred
Experience with California projects and codes preferred
Experience with Title-24 Part 6 California Energy Conservation Code preferred
Experience with SKM and/or ETAP software preferred

Responsibilities

Perform and oversee analysis and design on a variety of commercial and institutional building projects.
Collaborate with the architect, owner, and contractor to provide a well-coordinated and high-quality set of electrical drawings.
Participate with a team of engineers, designers and drafters to execute electrical designs.
Interface with contractors during construction to ensure positive results with minimum complications.
Work closely with the Discipline Manager and assist in design and drawing production.
