We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Designer/Drafter with 1 to 5 years plus of experience to support the structural engineering department in our San Diego office. The successful candidate will assist in creating drawings and project documents from information provided by engineers using various computer-aided design (CAD) and building information modeling (BIM) platforms such as AutoCAD, Revit, etc. The successful candidate will be enthusiastic, have a desire to work and grow in a multidiscipline engineering office, and be willing to have fun.

Requirements

  • 1 to 5 years plus experience in drafting and design
  • Knowledgeable in creating and editing structural Revit models
  • Possess computer skills necessary for daily activities including email, word processing, spreadsheets and graphics
  • Possess strong critical thinking, organizational, and analytical abilities
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Able to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
  • Positive contributor to overall office and department goals, culture, and morale
  • Possess CAD, layout, and BIM skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Bluebeam
  • Experience with the latest release of Autodesk Revit design tools

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in structural buildings and framing preferred
  • Technical or associate degree in computer-aided drafting & design (or similar), preferred

Responsibilities

  • Assist in creating drawings and project documents from information provided by engineers using various computer-aided design (CAD) and building information modeling (BIM) platforms such as AutoCAD, Revit, etc.
  • Work from detailed engineering sketches to structural models, plans and details.
  • Able to work with numerous project teams to help with project completion.
