About The Position
RMF Engineering is an innovative, top-ranked, national engineering firm that specializes in providing design and engineering services for all aspects of building and utility infrastructure construction. RMF Engineering, Inc is seeking is currently seeking an Electrical Design Engineer in our Boston, Massachusetts office. Salary range, $100,000-$120,000 per year.
Requirements
- 3 Years minimum design experience with electrical systems
- BS in Electrical Engineering degree from an accredited college or university
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally will be required
- Minimum requirements include a BSEE and 5 years of related experience
- Professional registration or ability to obtain professional registration
- Experience with power system modeling and analysis using SKM is a major plus
- Experience in Autodesk Revit software.
Nice To Haves
- PE registration
- Higher Ed and Healthcare design experience
- Experience in power distribution and low-voltage systems
- Knowledge of National Electrical Code (NEC) and standard industry design practices
- Strong teamwork, communications, and client relationship skills
- Ability to work in a dynamic, team-oriented environment
Responsibilities
- Power distribution, including riser diagrams and panel schedules
- Lighting design, including fixture selection and controls
- Low-voltage systems including fire alarm, security and controls
- Calculate loads, fault current, and voltage drop
- Performing field surveys and construction phase support
