About The Position

TTM Technologies is seeking a Senior Electrical Design Engineer to lead and perform electrical design activities ranging from simple components to complex assemblies. The engineer will work closely with customers to meet program requirements, carry out complex design work with minimal supervision, support design verification, and perform detailed compliance analysis. The role covers product development from design through production release and includes technical leadership, mentoring, and coordination with engineering staff, interns, test engineers, and technicians. The engineer will develop requirements and design concepts from customer specifications, work with analog, DC power, and/or digital circuits, and apply knowledge of PCB design and manufacturing. Responsibilities include supporting new product development, technology demonstrations, and proposals; leading technical design reviews; evaluating test circuits and correlating expected performance with test results; and assessing design trade-offs, cost, and performance. The role also involves estimating design effort, monitoring schedules, considering manufacturing limitations, assessing new processes and technologies, and preparing presentations and simulation results for internal and customer reviews. Candidates must have at least six years of relevant experience, including three to five years of PCB layout experience, and a bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering. The position requires a background that would permit the U.S. Department of Defense to issue a Secret clearance when necessary for a project. The employee must also comply with TTM export-control policies and applicable laws, including ITAR, EAR, and OFAC requirements.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 6 years of relevant experience.
  • 3–5 years of Printed Circuit Board layout experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Experience with analog, DC power, and/or digital circuit design, layout, and test.
  • Knowledge of Printed Circuit Board design and manufacturing.
  • Strong working knowledge of circuit simulation tools.
  • Ability to design experiments, analyze data, and conduct structured problem solving.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for documenting technical specifications and presenting design reviews.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills, including the ability to work across engineering disciplines and interface with customers.
  • Strong time-management skills and ability to multitask and prioritize.
  • Ability to act as a technical lead and mentor on military and space projects.
  • Ability to write specifications and proposals and present technical material.
  • Self-motivated and goal-oriented, with an active interest in expanding job-related knowledge.
  • Must have a background that would permit the U.S. Department of Defense to issue a Secret clearance when necessary for a project.
  • Must comply with TTM Export Control Policies and Procedures and applicable laws, including ITAR, EAR, and OFAC.
