About The Position
As an Electrical Design Engineer based in Jefferson City, Missouri, you will develop electrical designs for engineering projects from concept through production. You will translate requirements into practical designs while balancing quality, cost, and schedule, and collaborate with partners to deliver power solutions. The role involves using advanced engineering tools, contributing to standard and special designs, taking ownership of complex tasks, and supporting continuous improvement across products and processes. You will work independently while remaining connected to a collaborative team.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
- At least 3 years of relevant engineering experience.
- Distribution transformer design experience; internship experience is considered.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
- Experience collaborating across teams and functions.
Responsibilities
- Deliver electrical designs on time and to quality expectations.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to keep projects on track.
- Participate in design reviews and technical discussions.
- Support the development of special and custom designs.
- Identify and lead improvements to engineering processes and products.
- Define and document requirements for system enhancements.
- Support testing, validation, and deployment of tools and solutions.
- Provide technical support to customers and internal teams.
- Ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.
