About The Position

WECTEC Staffing Services, a subsidiary of Westinghouse Electric Company LLC, is seeking an Electrical Coordinator/Lead for an onsite, full-time contract opportunity at the Palisades Nuclear Plant in Covert, MI. This role is expected to last 6-12 months. The position involves working as an Electrician with lead responsibilities, reporting to the Site Project Manager and the Manager of I&C Installation Services. The successful candidate will be a key resource for electrical activities, identify and report potential problems, interferences, and schedule deficiencies, and assist in resolving issues. They will also lead other Electricians to ensure project milestones are met and strictly adhere to all safety requirements, stopping work and reporting any safety issues immediately.

Requirements

Electrician with 3 years Lead Experience
Experience in maintenance modifications
Installation/ fabrication of Conduit and Supports
Installation of copper and fiber cables
Cable terminations and modifications
Installation of power and control panels/ switch gear
Use a multi meter to include Live-Dead-Live
Raychem splicing of low voltage
Electrical safe work practices
Clearance order verifications
Temporary power installation
Experience in nuclear power as JM electrician
Will read, write, speak and take tests in English without an interpreter or accommodations per US nuclear requirement

Responsibilities

Act as a key resource for look-ahead for electrical activities
Work as an Electrician with Lead responsibilities
Report back to the Management team of any potential problems, working interference, and any schedule deficiencies
Assist in resolving any issues
Lead Electricians to complete the project meeting milestones set for the project
Adhere to all safety requirements, stop work and report any safety issues immediately should they arise
