About The Position

Reporting to the Project Manager and Project Director, the Electrical Coordinator will be responsible for ensuring design compliance with guidelines, codes, and regulations. This role involves coordinating construction activities with subcontractors and clients, assisting project managers in technical planning and control, and collaborating with technical teams to coordinate engineering work. The coordinator will also be responsible for quality assurance of deliverables, evaluation of electrical/controls systems, report writing, equipment selection, and incorporating engineering changes into the design. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Construction industry
  • Strong computer skills with various software experience, including MS Office, BlueBeam, ACC, etc.

  • Experience in hydroelectricity and dams is considered an asset
  • Bilingualism, French and English, would be considered an asset

Responsibilities

  • Ensure design compliance with guidelines, codes, regulations, and other reference documentation
  • Construction activities coordination with the subcontractor and client for activities such as commissioning and decommissioning and commissioning
  • Assist project managers in the technical planning, control, and coordination of projects
  • Work closely with technical teams to coordinate engineering work
  • Ensure quality assurance of deliverables
  • Evaluation of electrical/controls systems, products, and components
  • Report writing and equipment recommendation/selection
  • Incorporation of engineering changes into design
  • Other duties as assigned
