About The Position

We are hiring an experienced Electrical Construction Project Manager to lead large commercial projects across healthcare, hospital, university, and institutional environments. We are specifically looking for someone who has managed electrical construction projects while working directly for an electrical contractor. The right candidate understands how manpower, labor productivity, procurement, BIM coordination, cost control, and field execution affect project profitability. You will take ownership of projects from preconstruction turnover through final closeout. Estimating, BIM/VDC, field leadership, and executive teams will provide support, but you will remain directly accountable for financial performance, schedule, field production, client communication, and overall project delivery.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of commercial electrical construction Project Management experience
  • Direct experience working for an electrical contractor or self-performing electrical construction company
  • Strong knowledge of commercial electrical systems, installation sequencing, manpower planning, and field production
  • Proven ability to independently manage electrical projects from startup through closeout
  • Experience managing project budgets, labor costs, forecasting, billing, procurement, and change orders
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, specifications, contracts, and project schedules
  • Experience coordinating field leadership, general contractors, vendors, subcontractors, and internal departments
  • Strong leadership, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple complex projects while maintaining financial and operational accountability

Responsibilities

  • Manage commercial electrical projects from preconstruction turnover and mobilization through final completion
  • Develop project schedules, manpower plans, procurement strategies, and execution plans
  • Coordinate Foremen, electricians, vendors, subcontractors, general contractors, and internal support teams
  • Manage project budgets, billing, cost forecasts, committed expenses, labor performance, and profitability
  • Review electrical drawings, specifications, contracts, scopes of work, and construction schedules
  • Oversee RFIs, submittments, change orders, material procurement, project documentation, and closeout
  • Partner with estimating and BIM/VDC teams to confirm scope and resolve field coordination issues
  • Lead project meetings and maintain clear communication with clients, inspectors, general contractors, and leadership
  • Identify labor, material, schedule, and cost risks before they affect project performance
  • Maintain accountability for safety, quality, schedule, budget, and client satisfaction
