About The Position

Designer III is a senior designer position responsible for developing designs that show equipment and device layouts and branch circuiting for power, lighting, and auxiliary drawings. The role provides calculations and documentation for lighting and power systems and creates details that define and clarify design intent on drawings. The designer takes the design lead on projects and works closely with project managers and lead engineers, coordinating with clients, architects, and engineers from other disciplines to complete drawings. The position involves developing and checking design documents, leading lighting and controls design, coordinating electrical requirements across trades, and providing direction and training to other designers and engineers. Travel may be up to 20%, excluding local field visits. Work is conducted primarily indoors and includes prolonged sitting as well as standing, walking, typing, carrying, pushing, and bending. Occasional lifting of up to 40 pounds is required.
