About The Position

C2O Americas is seeking experienced Electrical Commissioning Technicians to support upcoming LNG Facility and Data Center projects across Texas. This is an exciting opportunity to join a leading commissioning and startup team working on some of the largest industrial and mission-critical infrastructure projects in the region. In this role, you will support commissioning, testing, energization, startup, and turnover activities to ensure electrical systems are installed, tested, and operating safely, reliably, and in accordance with project requirements.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of electrical commissioning, startup, testing, maintenance, or operations experience in industrial facilities.
  • Strong knowledge of MV/LV electrical systems, switchgear, transformers, MCCs, protective relays, UPS systems, generators, and power distribution systems.
  • Experience performing electrical testing, troubleshooting, energization, and startup activities.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, single-line diagrams, schematics, wiring diagrams, vendor documentation, and commissioning procedures.
  • Experience with commissioning documentation, Inspection Test Records (ITRs), turnover packages, and system completions processes.
  • Working knowledge of Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), permitting requirements, and electrical safety practices.
  • Experience with electrical testing equipment including insulation resistance testers, multimeters, relay test sets, primary and secondary injection equipment, and power quality analyzers.
  • Highly experienced with various types and manufacturers of electrical test and calibration equipment.
  • Candidate should be a motivated self-starter with strong troubleshooting and complex problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication skills and team-oriented personality required to interface with Construction, Engineering, and Operations teams.
  • Detailed working knowledge of industrial facilities and commissioning processes.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Valid TWIC card required.
  • Ability and willingness to travel and work at project sites throughout Texas as required.

Nice To Haves

  • LNG, Data Center, Power Generation, Industrial, Petrochemical, Refinery, or Utility project experience preferred.
  • NETA, NICET, or equivalent industry certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform electrical testing, troubleshooting, and system verification during commissioning activities.
  • Execute pre-commissioning and static commissioning checks in accordance with approved procedures and Inspection Test Records (ITRs).
  • Test electrical switchgear components including CTs, VTs, protective relays, breakers, and associated equipment.
  • Perform electrical motor control testing of Motor Control Centers (MCCs).
  • Energize and test 120VAC distribution panelboards and lighting circuits.
  • Setup, energize, and test UPS systems.
  • Setup and energize heat trace systems.
  • Support testing and commissioning of transformers, generators, power distribution systems, and associated electrical equipment.
  • Perform subsystem and system walkdowns, inspections, punch listing, and turnover activities.
  • Support multi-discipline dynamic commissioning activities that validate engineering design, installation quality, and operational performance.
  • Review and complete commissioning documentation, turnover packages, and handover records.
  • Provide startup and operational readiness support to Operations teams as required.
  • Ensure compliance with project safety requirements, quality standards, commissioning procedures, and client expectations.
  • Coordinate with Construction, Engineering, Quality, and Operations teams throughout project execution.
  • Utilize Microsoft Office applications for documentation, reporting, and project support.
