About The Position

C2O Americas is seeking an experienced Electrical Commissioning Technician for an industrial project. The technician will support commissioning, testing, and startup activities to help ensure electrical systems are installed and operating safely and efficiently. The role includes pre-commissioning and static checks, electrical testing and energization, support for dynamic commissioning, system walkdowns and handover documentation, and startup support for Operations. The position requires proficiency in MS Office applications and the ability to work with Construction and Operations teams.

Requirements

• Valid TWIC card.
• At least 5 years of pre-commissioning and commissioning experience in a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of LV/MV systems, MCCs, switchgear, and control systems.
• Experience with lockout/tagout (LOTO), permitting, and safety protocols.
• Highly experienced with various types and manufacturers of calibration equipment.
• Proficiency in MS Office applications.
• Motivated self-starter with complex problem-solving ability.
• Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented personality to interface with Construction and Operations teams.
• Detailed working knowledge of industrial facilities.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical testing, troubleshooting, and system verification during commissioning.
• Perform pre-commissioning or static commissioning checks using required documentation, such as Inspection Test Reports (ITRs).
• Test electrical switchgear components, including CTs, VTs, and relays.
• Energize 120VAC distribution panelboards.
• Perform electrical motor control testing of Motor Control Centers (MCCs).
• Set up and energize heat trace systems.
• Set up, energize, and test UPS systems.
• Energize and test lighting circuits and other small-power (120VAC) equipment.
• Support multidisciplinary dynamic commissioning activities that validate engineering design and plant equipment construction and installation, as directed by the lead commissioning coordinator or engineer.
• Perform subsystem and system walkdowns for acceptance and submit documentation to the Completions team for handover.
• Provide startup support to the Operations team as required.
