About The Position

The Electrical Assembly Technician assembles and installs electrical control panel assemblies, conduit runs and performs device wiring. This role involves using electric or air powered tools to drill and grind parts, positioning components according to material and blueprint lists, and performing electrical wiring tasks that require assuming various positions throughout the day. The technician must be skilled in bending and installing EMT and Rigid conduit, reading prints, and performing assembly and installation of devices and components. The ability to work off ladders and in tight spaces is also necessary. The role emphasizes quality, customer service, safety, and productivity, requiring the ability to read blueprints, familiarity with electrical codes, and the use of a multimeter to test control panels. This position is considered safety-sensitive.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
1 to 5 years related experience in electrical wiring in a manufacturing environment
Ability to read and interpret drawings, schematics, or wire diagrams
Must have experience running electrical conduit
Experience in wiring electrical products
Experience in industrial panel fabrication and testing
Good problem solving and troubleshooting ability
Ability to read blueprints
Familiar with electrical codes
Use a multimeter to test control panels

2-year technical degree or related field preferred

Responsibilities

Performs electrical wiring tasks, which may involve standing, sitting, bending, and assuming various positions.
Bends and installs EMT and Rigid conduit.
Reads prints and performs assembly and installation of devices and components accordingly.
Works off ladders and in tight spaces.
Tests control panels using a multimeter.
