About The Position

Assembles panels, cables, computers and other electronic sub-assemblies using engineering drawings, wire list and/or electrical schematics. Self-inspects work to ensure that items are built in compliance with Key Technology wiring standards. Builds electrical and electronic sub-assemblies using engineering drawings, wire lists, electrical schematics, work instructions and a variety of hand tools such as wire strippers, screw drivers, wire crimpers, wrenches, etc. Self-inspects work to ensure Key Technology quality standards are met. Assists in the creation of wire lists from schematics for experimental, prototype and/or first production run electrical equipment. Follow verbal and written instruction given by Production Supervisor. Clearly communicate any issues to Production Supervisor or Lead. Able to read and understand blueprints, work instructions and/or electrical schematics. Discusses layout and assembly procedures and/or problems with Engineering to resolve functional issues Experienced using various hand and power tools such as wrenches, screw drivers, wire crimpers, wire strippers, etc. Able to read and follow electrical schematics and written procedures. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
Beginning computer skills
Must be able to read and understand engineering drawings
Ability to follow electrical schematics to wire machines and build electrical panels is a plus
Computer training/experience desirable
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
Ability to write short simple correspondence.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Ability to solve practical problems that deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral and blueprints.

Formal classes from college, trade school or military service helpful.
